Today’s Scripture:
“See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”
Revelation 3 verse 8
When I was younger, I applied for a job I desperately wanted. I prepared, prayed and felt confident. But when the rejection email arrived, I felt embarrassed and confused. I kept asking God why He would let me get so close only to shut the door. Months later, I discovered that the company went through major restructuring and many employees lost their jobs. What felt like disappointment was actually protection.
Scripture reminds us that God opens doors no one can shut and closes doors no one can force open, as Rev. 3:7 declares. We often see a closed door as failure, but God sees what we cannot. Sometimes He closes a door because the timing is wrong. Sometimes because the environment is unsafe. Sometimes because He has something better prepared. Closed doors are not God’s rejection. They are His redirection.
Reflect & Pray
What closed door in your life may God be using to guide or protect you
Lord Jesus, help me trust You when a door closes. Teach me to see Your hand even when I do not understand Your timing. Amen.
