Light of the World Today

Several years ago, a successful woman sat in a hospital waiting room awaiting important test results. She had built a career, raised a family, and always relied on her own strength. But in that moment she realised how fragile life can be. For the first time in years, she prayed. The results were better than expected, but what changed her life most was not the outcome. It was the discovery that she did not have to face life alone.
Many people think salvation is about religion. It is not. Salvation is about being restored to a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Sin separated humanity from God, and Jesus came to bridge that gap. Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that salvation is a gift of grace received through faith.
What do we gain when we know Jesus? First, we gain a new identity. John 1:12 says that those who receive Christ become children of God. Second, we gain peace. Philippians 4:7 promises a peace that guards our hearts and minds even in difficult circumstances. Third, we gain a fresh start. Second Corinthians 5:17 declares that anyone in Christ becomes a new creation. Fourth, we gain abundant life. Jesus did not come merely to help us survive but to give us a life filled with purpose, hope, and joy. Finally, we gain eternal life. John 3:16 assures us that those who believe in Him will have everlasting life.
The real question is not whether Jesus can change a life. The question is whether we are willing to trust Him with ours. Many people build their lives on careers, finances, relationships, or personal achievements. None of these can carry the weight of eternity. Only Christ can.
Knowing Jesus is not an addition to life; it is the foundation life was designed to have. You do not need to wait for a crisis to seek Him. The invitation is open today. Come to Him and discover the abundant life He promised.
