The Power of the Resurrected Christ
Scripture:
“He is not here. He has risen.”
Matt. 28:6
There are moments in life when everything feels still. Moments when it seems as if nothing is moving, nothing is changing and nothing is improving. The disciples felt that on the Saturday between the cross and the resurrection. It looked as if hope had died. Yet in the silence, God was working. In the darkness, God was moving. In the hidden place, God was completing what He promised.
When Jesus cried out, “It is finished” (John 19:30), He was not announcing defeat. He was declaring victory. The power of sin was broken. The weight of shame was lifted. The debt of guilt was cancelled. The separation between God and humanity was removed. Everything that once stood between you and God was dealt with at the cross.
But the story did not end there. On the third day, Jesus rose. And when He rose, He opened the door to a new kind of life. Eternal life. Not simply life that lasts forever, but life that begins now and continues into eternity. Jesus described it in John 17:3 as knowing God personally. Eternal life is life that cannot decay, cannot be corrupted and cannot be destroyed. It is life that fills the present and shapes the future.
Our earthly life is fragile. It ages. It weakens. It ends. But the life Jesus gives is strong, steady and everlasting. It is the life of the Spirit. Rom. 8:11 tells us that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. That means resurrection is not only a moment in history. It is a power available today.
What does this mean for you?
It means God can raise what feels buried.
He can restore what feels lost.
He can breathe life into what feels finished.
He can lift you from fear, shame, regret and disappointment.
The tomb is empty, and because of that, your story is not over.
What God asks of you today is simple:
Trust Him.
Walk with Him.
Believe His Word above your feelings.
Release what Jesus has already finished.
Live as someone who knows the stone has been rolled away.

Where in your life do you need resurrection?
Where have you accepted defeat when God has spoken victory?
What burden are you still carrying that Jesus already finished at the cross?
Take a moment to surrender it to Him.

The resurrection is not only the proof that Jesus conquered death. It is the invitation to live a different kind of life. A life that is not ruled by fear, guilt or limitation, but shaped by the presence of the risen Christ. When Jesus said, “It is finished,” He closed the chapter on everything that once held us captive. When He rose, He opened the door to a life that is full, eternal and unshakeable. Today, you are invited to step into that life. Not by striving, but by trusting. Not by earning, but by receiving. The tomb is empty, and because of that, you never have to live empty again.
